Employers support pension auto-enrolment, claims DWP

Over half of all employers support plans to automatically enrol staff into a workplace pension scheme, according to new research from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

The DWP survey, of 2,550 private-sector employers, found 56 per cent were in favour of government plans to encourage more people to save, which are due to come into force in 2012.
