Karan Hutchinson appointed group HR director at AXA UK

AXA UK has appointed Karan Hutchinson as group HR director as Sonia Wolsey-Cooper , the incumbent director, takes up the newly created role of corporate responsibility director at AXA’s healthcare division. Hutchinson, who joined the company in 2004, has held a number of senior HR roles, and was latterly AXA UK’s HR business director responsible for leading the HR business and resourcing teams.

Hutchinson commented: “I am delighted to take up my new role and to be able to build on the good work that has been done to date on our HR strategy and vision as we strive to become a leading-edge HR function. To deliver this, the team and I will need to ensure that HR continues to be seen as a strategic business partner while developing a truly engaged workforce.”

Craig McCoy has become HR director at Bupa Health and Wellbeing. Prior to his new role, McCoy was interim HR director at Jersey Telecom and has held a number of other senior HR positions at companies including Aegis Media, BT and BSkyB.

Commenting on his new role, he said: “I am excited to be joining such a great and high profile branded business which is going through significant changes in an increasingly competitive market. I will be helping re-energise and re-engage with the people post business restructure, with a focus on embedding a more customer centric culture.”
