Met police officer was victimised for whistle-blowing

A Metropolitan police officer who was victimised after he blew the whistle on a dishonest senior officer, has won an employment tribunal.

Detective Sergeant Howard Shaw told his superiors that a senior officer had cheated to gain a promotion by obtaining the interview questions before the meeting. But no action was taken and the accused senior officer, Detective Inspector Kevin Williams, then used his promotion to wreck Shaw’s career, the tribunal heard.
