Skills co-op set up to 'be more responsive' to employers’ needs
A qualifications body based on the John Lewis model has been set up to make skills and learning more responsive to employers’ needs.
The 157 Group, an employee-led consortium of 28 further education colleges, aims to bring more control and flexibility to the way qualifications are developed and awarded. It also aims to speed up the pace of change and reduce costs.
