UK Avon lady is first to make a million

A woman who was made redundant six years ago has become Britain’s first £1 million Avon lady. Debbie Davis has earned £1.4 million since she started selling the cosmetics brand. Davis, from Sunderland, now manages a workforce of 8,000 with the help of her partner Dave Carter, who she recruited to join her in the business.
