Unison launches court bid against NHS reform

Unison is taking legal action against the government over its plans to restructure the NHS, alleging the lack of a proper consultation process is “unlawful”.

The public-sector union has applied for a judicial review in a bid to block the reforms from going ahead without a full public consultation on the “most fundamental changes to the way the NHS operates since it was created”.
