What should employers do when a whole team moves to a competitor?

BP has filed a claim in Singapore against six former senior oil traders who moved to a competitor with around 14 other staff. With the economy in a parlous state, employers are constantly on the lookout for established teams who can generate revenue - taking on a whole team minimises the risk of that revenue dropping.
