Civil service redundancy pay is cut dramatically
The government has voted through legislation that will slash redundancy pay for civil servants by up to 80 per cent.
The superannuation bill – which will cap pay-offs at one year’s salary, or 15 months for voluntary redundancies – was passed by 326 votes to 244 at the bill's second reading in the House of Commons yesterday.
