Davies oversees Audit Commission buyout

The board of the Audit Commission has appointed Gareth Davies to oversee a potential employee buy-out of its audit function.

Davies, the commission’s managing director for local government, housing and community safety since 2007, has been appointed managing director of its audit practice.
