Irish craft workers reject 7.5 per cent pay cut
Thousands of craft workers employed in Ireland’s beleaguered construction sector have rejected a Labour Court recommendation for a 7.5 per cent pay cut to agreed industry rates of pay.
The pay cut would not “contribute anything to economic recovery”, said Eamon Devoy, general secretary of the Technical Engineering and Electrical Union (TEEU), which represents the workers.
