Public-sector strike day makes Ireland top European industrial action league
Ireland has been catapulted to the top of European militancy league, having lost more than 170 days per 1,000 employees through strike action last year, according to a report on industrial action throughout the EU published by Eurofound last week.
In second place among the 27 EU countries surveyed comes Spain, which lost 83 man days through strike action, followed by Malta (47 days), with the UK in fourth place (19 days).
