Unions claim tube strike was a success
Tuesday’s 24-hour tube strike over 800 job losses and safety concerns brought widespread travel disruption to the capital and was deemed a success by unions.
The RMT praised the solid support of workers in its joint action with the TSSA union and said that pressure on London mayor Boris Johnson to resolve the dispute had been “ratcheted up”.
