Will Facebook hold me back?

I’ve been working in a junior HR role for three years and have an active social life. Recently some very unflattering pictures of me drunk at a party appeared on the Facebook page of a colleague. While this was embarrassing I wouldn’t normally be worried – I work hard and my manager understands I like to let my hair down. But I’ve now had the opportunity to apply for a considerably more senior job in my organisation. I’m worried that this picture may have come to the attention of our HRD and that she will take it as evidence that I’m not mature enough for such a role yet. What can I do?
