Are women better team players?
Teams are stronger than individuals. Or at least well-functioning ones demonstrate greater levels of intelligence in their work. That's the finding from a new study that has just been published by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The research found that teams with higher levels of "social sensitivity" - explained as "the willingness of the group to let all its members take turns and apply their skills to a given challenge" - demonstrate greater collective intelligence than those lacking such skills. The research also suggests that teams with higher numbers of women in the group tend to co-operate more effectively.
