Confessions of an HR consultant - domestic coaching
“Crikey, that’s brilliant,” I thought. Now that I’ve mastered the art of coaching, my life will be transformed. All I have to do after any interaction is discuss what’s gone well and what could have gone better and everything will be, well, better. I realised the very best person to try out my peerless coaching skills on would be my beloved wife, Norma. Things haven’t being going well lately so a good solid coaching circle is just what we need. Things started promisingly. “Hi Norma.” “Hi Norman.” It was working. As I moved in for a cheeky, haven’t-you-missed-me kiss, things unravelled rather. “What are you doing?” Norma snapped. “Um, well, I thought, a kiss?” “What?” “... a kiss?” “Have you slept with someone while you were away?”
