UK needs more women at top level

October’s comprehensive spending review is presently looming large over almost all areas of UK business and social policy - but one interesting aspect that straddles both is the direct effect of these spending cuts on women.Cuts to child benefit could make it hard for mothers to return to their careers. Competition for jobs will also be tough for all those women who are forced to move out of the public sector and into the private or third sectors.
