Aer Lingus suspends staff over roster dispute
Around 100 Aer Lingus cabin crew have been suspended after their refusal to operate new rosters caused the cancellation of 34 flights to the UK and Europe yesterday (Thursday).The disruption, which affected over 3,000 passengers, came despite the new rosters being formally adopted after extensive negotiations with unions. The airline said that 93 per cent of cabin crew accepted the rosters when they were voted on last March.
