HR jobseekers willing to take pay cuts for security
HR jobseekers are increasingly ready to sacrifice pay for better job security as they seek a safe haven in the job market, a poll conducted for the People Management Jobs site has revealed. The poll of more than 200 people looking for HR jobs on www.peoplemanagement.co.uk/jobs, found that almost four in 10 (39 per cent) of jobseekers would be willing to take a pay cut to move to a more secure job, while another 28 per cent said they would "perhaps" be open to such a move. Potential redundancies cast a heavy shadow over the job market, with almost a quarter (24 per cent) of jobseekers saying that their main motivation for seeking a new job was that their current position was under threat.
