‘Employer's charter’ could be misleading over legal obligations
The employer's charter aims to “dismiss some of the myths about what employers can and cannot do”. But its categorical statements could be dangerous and misleading if employers ignore the wider context of their actions. There may be more complex legal issues that need to be considered to avoid unfair dismissal and other claims.
