Social partnership blamed for Ireland’s boom and bust
Tax cuts and increased public spending conceded under Ireland’s social partnership agreements with employers and unions contributed to the boom-bust cycle in the Irish economy, according to an unpublished report on the performance of the Department of Finance since 2000.
