Fall in unemployment welcomed

Unemployment in the UK has fallen after hitting a 17-year high last month, latest official figures have shown today.The jobless total for the three months to February fell by 17,000 to 2.48 million, meaning the unemployment rate has dropped to 7.8 per cent from 8 per cent, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
