Do men benefit from taking flexible options at work?

Recently, Working Families launched their report, in conjunction with Lancaster University Management School, on Working for Fathers: Combining family life and work. This two-year study, funded by the Lottery Fund, was designed to see what the impact flexible working had on fathers. So much of the research on work-life balance is done with mothers, who tend to take the flexible working options significantly more often than men. The big question was ‘do men benefit from taking these flexible options, and if not, what are some of the problems’?
