HR has work to do
I submitted the Career Clinic question in the May issue and I found the responses disappointingly bland. The fact that most people on the autistic spectrum are not in work poses some big questions for HR. As a 16-year old I didn’t get one O-level because I was discriminated against by the education system, which assessed only via exams. Eventually I gained seven O-levels and a BPhil, PG diploma teaching qualification and am about to embark on an MSc. The difference was that these combined coursework and practicals with exams.
