Climate change: Join the green shift

Back in December 2009, hopes were high at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. A major step forward in global regulation to stem the bleeding of CO2 into the atmosphere was expected. A fortnight of bickering later, however, very little had actually been achieved. Business groups such as the Mayday Network – which had urged a bold course of action – were left out in the cold of the Danish winter. Combined with the emergence of climate change scepticism, it could have been the moment business finally shed its green mask and returned to bad environmental habits. Surprisingly, it may have been a different sort of turning point. In reality, many companies have hardened their resolve to become more sustainable.
