Mental health charities slam IB reassessments
The new incapacity benefit tests risk having a “devastating effect” on people suffering from mental health disorders, leading charities have warned.As part of its welfare reform plans, the government has started rolling out the “work capability assessment” programme, to determine whether the country’s 1.5 million incapacity benefit claimants are fit to carry out some form of work.
