BBC cuts executive pay bill by 43 per cent
The BBC has reduced its executive wage bill by 43 per cent but spent more than £1.3 million on board member redundancies, according to the broadcaster’s latest annual report.Executive board members at the corporation earned £2.7 million in the year to May 2011, compared to £4.8 million in the previous 12 months.
