Unemployed offenders to do ‘five-day week’ community service
Unemployed offenders will be forced to do a full five-day week of ‘hard work and job-seeking’ under new community sentencing proposals, the government has confirmed.Currently people given a community-based sentence for breaking the law can work as few as six hours a week spreading their punishment out over many months.
