Benefit claimants to be forced to upskill and improve English
Government plans to force unemployed people to attend basic skills training or risk losing their benefits could fill a skills and confidence black hole, research has shown.Under the plans outlined this week, jobseekers must ensure they have basic skills, such as being able to speak English, to ensure they can realistically get a job.
