Half a million agency jobs ‘threatened by new EU regulations’
Many employers could end temporary workers’ contracts by Christmas to avoid spiralling costs driven by the new rules relating to agency workers, research has revealed.
Half a million employees could be hit as employers consider sacking temporary workers rather than paying out more to level up their pay and benefits to those of permanent workers, according to a survey of 200 HR practitioners by YouGov Stone for Allen & Overy.
