Duncan Smith lauds progress on tackling benefits abuse
Work and pensions minister Iain Duncan Smith has restated his aim to “confront worklessness” and support people moving from state benefits into work, as he spoke at the Conservative Party Conference today.The minister said that the government had kept its promise to tackle the “abuse” of long-term sickness benefits as he spoke of the progress made so far on reforming the system.
