Universities predict ‘jobs boom’ despite student number drop
Tuition fee hikes could spark a “jobs boom” in the university employment sector despite a dip in student applications this year, HR experts have told PM.The argument that recruitment could rise appears counterintuitive after this week’s figures showing an 11.9 per cent drop in applicants for university places so far, compared to 2010.
