Pay inequality widened this year, data shows
The pay gap between the highest and lowest paid employees in the UK widened further between 2010 and 2011, according to official figures out this week.
Salaries for the highest paid 10 per cent rose by 1.8 percent between 2010 and 2011, while pay for people in the lowest paid 10 per cent rose by only 0.1 per cent, ONS data revealed.
