Unilever staff vote to strike
Employees at household products manufacturer Unilever have voted overwhelmingly for strike action as the company moves to close its final salary pension scheme.The firm, which makes products including PG Tips, Persil and Dove, told staff last April that the final salary scheme would close to existing members in 2012.
