Banks will be ‘forced to reveal more top bonuses’, says government
The government has launched a consultation on proposals to tackle “unacceptable bank bonuses” by improving pay transparency at the UK’s largest banks. Banking giants could be forced to reveal the remuneration of their eight highest-paid executives responsible for managing risk, as part of the Treasury’s commitment to clamp down on excessive short-termist City bonuses.
