Christian loses ‘Sunday working’ tribunal case

A devout Christian has lost her case for constructive dismissal against Merton Council, after a tribunal ruled that she was not entitled to Sundays off work.Celestina Mba was employed by the local authority to help children with severe learning difficulties, but said she was forced to leave her job in 2010 as her request to avoid Sunday working was not accommodated.
