How do I balance my business?

I have been running a successful training business for 12 years. Before the recession, I spent about three months a year in Europe delivering business skills, HR and management development training. Back home, I had a mix of regular private and public-sector customers. Now there is little or no work from the public sector and demand in general is dwindling. To help reposition my business, I intend to write development books with supporting products. But I will also need to secure part time or associate work as a trainer/facilitator. How I can strike this balance and take the next step?
