PPL publishes and distributes People Management magazine (the "Magazine") on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development ("CIPD"). Through the Website you may gain access to the commercial products and services of CIPD. You may also gain access to the subscription services of Galleon who administer Magazine subscriptions on behalf of PPL. In addition to these terms and conditions the provision of such products and services will be governed by such additional terms and conditions as you may be made aware of at the time of any purchase.

2. Registration
2.1
The Website is accessible to all, but some specific services are only available to CIPD members or Magazine subscribers (together defined as "Members"). Only Members may register with the Website to gain access to Member-only services. Information about Magazine subscriptions can be found on the subscription page of this site. Information about CIPD membership can be found on the CIPD website.
2.2
We may suspend and/or terminate (either in whole or in part) your use of any user name, password or this Website immediately for any reason.
3. Use of the jobs service by Members and Non-Members
3.1
You acknowledge that the jobs service provided via the Website (including the "My Jobs" area) has the sole purpose of facilitating introductions between users of the Website and potential employers (the "Service"). You further acknowledge that, following any such introduction being made, it shall be up to the relevant user and potential employer in each case to agree how to progress matters further.
3.2
PPL provides the "My Jobs" area of the Website to help you search for the right career move more quickly and more effectively. The "My Jobs" area enables you to save job details, keep records of any applications you have made as well as opt-in to receive job alerts by email.
3.3
When using the Website and/or the Service, you agree to:
(a) provide true, accurate, current and complete information when registering as a user of the Service or when applying for employment through the Website and notify us immediately of any changes in such user information or status; and
(b) abide by all applicable national and international laws, regulations and codes of practice and ensure that any information uploaded, distributed from or stored under your account registration does not infringe the rights of others; and
(c) not impersonate another person, use a false name or a name you are not authorised to use, create a false identity or e-mail address or try to mislead others as to the identify or origin of any communications; and
(d) maintain the confidentiality of your password and user name; and
(e) be entirely responsible for all activities conducted under your password and user name; and

Such websites are provided by independent third parties and PPL accepts no responsibility for the availability, content or use of such websites or information contained on them.

PPL shall be responsible for the Website and PPL (and other companies working on its behalf) shall only be required to use its reasonable endeavours to keep the Website operational. While PPL will take all reasonable steps to ensure a fast and reliable service, PPL will not be held responsible for any disruption of the Service however caused, loss of or corruption of any material in transit, or loss of or corruption of material when downloaded onto any computer system.

7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and to keep PPL indemnified on demand from and against any costs, claims, demands, damages, expenses and liabilities suffered or incurred by PPL:
(a) arising from or which is directly or indirectly related to your access to and/or use of the Website and/or any other person or entity's use of the Website where such person or entity was able to access the Website using your password; and
(b) arising out of information or material transmitted or made available by you, or under your account, to the Website or arising out of your breach of these terms and conditions.
8. General
8.1
PPL reserves the right to assign or transfer all or any of its rights and obligations under these terms and conditions to any third party. In the event of assignment or transfer, notification will either be given to you by e-mail or posted on the Website.

Failure by PPL to exercise or enforce any right conferred upon it shall not be deemed to be a waiver of any such right nor operate so as to bar the exercise or enforcement of that or any other right on any later occasion.

PPL reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions from time to time. Such changes will either be notified to you by e-mail or posted on the Website.
