And the winner is… the Investors in People Awards 2019

This year’s Investors in People Awards brought Las Vegas to London, celebrating outstanding achievements in everything from health and wellbeing to reward and technology

On 19 November at Old Billingsgate, over 750 guests donned their best ball gowns and tuxedos for the Investors in People Awards 2019; celebrating the organisations and people that make work better.

This year, Investors in People brought Las Vegas to London where there was live music, dancing, magic, great food, a Las Vegas-themed dance group, a casino (seriously) and even the iconic Las Vegas sign (double serious). Okay, so not the actual sign. But close enough.

People flocked from around the world – the UK, Australia, Africa, Cyprus, UAE, Turkey and the Philippines to name but a few – and arrived for a drinks reception and four-course dinner.

And that was before the real entertainment got underway.

Investors in People CEO Paul Devoy welcomed guests with a heartfelt speech, encouraging the audience to keep up their commitment to make work better and to spread that message far and wide.

It was a tough act to follow, but comedian Russell Kane gave it his best shot, and had the audience in stitches with a suitably international routine.

There really was something for everyone with categories ranging from learning and development to technology, and reward and recognition to health and wellbeing.

With dinner and the awards out of the way, the guests celebrated with live music and dancing, before they flocked to the casino tables to gamble with Investors in People’s own branded money. (Note to successful gamblers: not legal tender.)

The Investors in People Awards will be back at Old Billingsgate in November 2020. Keep your eyes peeled on the website for more information, including dates, prices, pictures and videos from 2019 and even a pre-launch event in early 2020.
