Rising Vibe uses emotion to drive performance and business results

Gender balance is a hot topic – yet it seems men don't get the same emotional support at work because of a commonly-held view that feelings are exclusive to women. Rising Vibe is seeking to challenge the current level of focus on emotional support

At Rising Vibe we are all about bringing emotion back to business. ALL emotions. Not just the positive ones. We also embrace the ones that are regarded as negative – we call them high and low vibe. All of them are valid; not right or wrong, good or bad. In fact in our experience encouraging these so-called negative emotions enables performance improvement – very quickly.

There's a lot of talk in business around gender balance – the “fairness of treatment for women and men, according to their respective needs”. Yet it seems men don't tend to get the same emotional support at work because of a commonly-held view that feelings are exclusive to women. We're passionate about the emotional needs of men as well as woman and ultimately want to challenge the current level of focus on emotional support and expectation for men in particular.

We would like to introduce you to the Authentic Masculine Man. He supports and challenges both men and women that he works with and works for. He is comfortable with vulnerability, not knowing the answer, accepts responsibility for his contribution and doesn’t blame others. He is also keen to identify, recruit and nurture others to be better than him, and will role model all of the above to those around him.

This is a part of every man. But is the world of business recognising and rewarding this, or keeping him stuck in the shadows, scared to come out due to the ridicule and scorn of those (both men and women) that are threatened by his presence?

Who knows? But we are here to challenge it. Check out callingoutthemen.com
