When a business operates across multiple regions and continents, how can it collaborate seamlessly across teams, make employees more visible to management and standardise HR processes?
One global electronics business, Murata, chose to invest in a new HR tech platform – SAP SuccessFactors from Jigsaw Cloud.
Having already made the investment in its Shanghai office, it wanted to replicate that success across Europe. Between 2015 and 2019, Murata implemented six modules from the software.
As a result, it can now:
- Centralise employee data;
- Manage annual performance evaluations;
- Identify and recruit top talent for new roles; and
- Manage all employee training and development.
Murata has used SAP SuccessFactors to make a seamless transition from paper-based processes and spreadsheets to efficient, cloud-based employee experience.
Peter Welford, HR manager at Murata, said: “This is the first time we can see employee data from all our European companies in a single place. We’ve got an up-to-date, single source of data that’s easy to search and simplifies key HR processes like training, development, and team structuring.”
And it’s not just the company that’s seeing the benefits – its employees are too. He added: “Our employees have more control over their development, and their hard work and specialist skills are more likely to get noticed by senior management.”
